What is DELE?
It is the only worlwide accredited doploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language. The Instituto Cervantes sets the exam in cooperation with the University of Salamanca for the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science.
Why is DELE certificate important?
Because you can get a diploma that is accredited all around the world.
How many levels does the exam DELE have?
The exam can be taken at three different levels:
- First level: Nivel Inicial: certifies the linguistic competence of the candidate to understand everyday situations linguistically and to recat adequately as well as expressing basic wishes and needs. This level equals B1 according to the European Reference Framework.
- Second level: Nivel Intermedio: Certifies the linguistic competence of the candidate to communicate without difficulty in everyday situations on a coloquial level without using a special terminology of the Spanish language. This level equals B2.
- Third level: Nivel Superior: certifies the linguistic competence of candidate to communicate in situation which require a more sophisticated level plus a good knowledge of the Spanish habits which are expressed therein.
When is the DELE applied?
You can take the test in May, August or November
What is the content of the test?
Each exam consists of 5 tests which are organized into three groups:
- Reading Comprehension and Written Expression
- Grammar and Vocabulary
- Listening Comprehension and oral communication
